With lot of investigations taking place against NEET impersonation/fraud, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to make NEET 2020 application and verification process more stringent.

For NEET 2020, applicants will be asked to fill in their 10th and 12th roll numbers, upload their identity card and live photograph to detect impersonation. During physical verification at the exam centre, candidates may be asked to show their identity card uploaded during registration. The NTA is also waiting for approval from the Ministry of Information Technology for Aadhaar verification.

NEET UG 2020 registration process will commence from 2 December 2019 and the last date to register will be 31 December 2019. According to HRD Ministry Official, the NTA is going to bring in several changes in NEET registration process so that the agency will have sufficient data to verify, match and flag cases of possible discrepancies.

According to NTA official, the registration will be reopened for editing which means the applicants who will be appearing for 12th exams will be able to update their 12th class roll numbers as most of the education boards will issue admit cards/hall tickets after the NEET 2020 registration gets over.

The NTA shall be conducting NEET 2020 on 3 May 2020. Candidates who are interested to apply for AIIMS and JIPMER institutions are also required to apply for NEET exam.
