JSS Medical College, Mysore, established in the year 1984-85 on the tenets of imparting quality medical education. The college currently functions as a constituent college of JSS University. The college has been recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). The college houses a Wellness Center targeted at bettering the academic spheres and promoting the overall welfare of the students. The college intends to become a leader in the sector of healthcare education. 

The college aims at outsourcing a strong guild of healthcare professionals with the zeal to serve the needy ones and the underserved. The college instills in its students a deep sense of dedication towards the academics. The college fosters the development of a patient centric approach in an attempt to meet its mission and visions. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accredited the college with an A Grade in the year 2013. The college has a sanctioned intake of 200 students for the MBBS Program. The college offers B.SC in Allied Health Sciences with a sanctioned intake of 110. An 1800 bedded Tertiary Care Hospital serves JSSMC as its clinical facility. JSSMC is also eminent for being a home to the largest Critical Care Facilities in the state.  

The other UG Courses offered by the college are Cardiac Care Technology, Emergency Medicine Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Anesthesia and Operation Theater Technology, Perfusion Technology, Physician Assistant, Renal Dialysis Technology and Respiratory Care Technology. 
 

UG Medical Courses: 
Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Course: 

  1. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on or before 31st December of the Year of Admission.
  2. The candidate should have passed 12th Standard with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with English as one of the subjects.
  3. The candidates belonging to OBC / SC / ST must secure 40% of the minimum marks. 

Eligibility Criteria for NRI, Foreign Nationals and People of Indian Origin:

  1. The candidates should furnish the appropriate documents to prove their NRI / Foreign Status.
  2. The candidates should furnish the Eligibility Certificate obtained from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) to pursue Medical Education in Karnataka. 
  3. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on or before 31st December of the Year of Admission. 
  4. The candidate should have passed 12th Standard or Equivalent with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subjects.

Note: The Seat Allotment including the seats of NRI / Management Quota depends upon the Merit obtained and the online counseling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

PG Medical Courses:
Eligibility Criteria for PG Medical Courses:

  1. It’s mandatory for the candidate to secure a ‘Qualified’ score in the PG Medical Entrance Test conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi. 
  2. The candidate should have completed MBBS from any of the reputable colleges / institutes recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and affiliated to any of the lawfully established Universities in India.
  3. The candidate should have completed a compulsory ‘Rotational Internship’ on or before 31st March of the Year of Admission. 

Note: The Seat Allotment mainly depends upon the suitability of the candidature and the valid score obtained by the candidate in NEET PG conducted by NBE, New Delhi.
