NEET PG 2020 is a single entrance examination for admission to various PG medical courses such as MD / MS and PG Diploma courses. NEET PG 2020 will take place in various test centers across the country on 5 January 2020.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking PG medical admission to NEET PG must meet the following criteria: 

  • Candidates should have recognized MBBS or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate
  • Candidates should have the MCI / State Medical Council Registration Certificate (Provisional or Permanent)
  • Candidates should have completed one year of stay or are likely to complete their stay on or before 31 March of the year of PG medical admission
  • The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test) administered by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) must be qualified by Indian citizens or foreign citizens of India who have obtained their Undergraduate Medical Qualification from outside India. Such candidates must also be registered with the MCI / State Medical Council and have completed their internship or are likely to complete their internship on or before 31 March of the year of admission to PG Medical.

Application Procedure

Candidates wishing to appear for the NEET PG entrance examination are required to apply on-line only. The following are the steps involved in the online application:

  • Registration of Candidate for obtaining User ID and Password
  • User ID and Password will be sent through SMS and Email
  • Filling up of Application form with required details
  • Uploading of Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression and MCI/SMC Registration Certificate
  • Selection of Test City
  • Payment of Fees
  • Taking Print out of Final Application Form

Counselling Overview

General PG Medical counseling for admission to PG will be given in all medical colleges on the basis of the NEET PG 2020 merit list.

The Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government shall be the designated counseling authority for the 50 per cent of all Indian Quota seats of the Contributing State Of India. In addition, the Directorate-General for Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government. PG medical counseling shall be conducted by India at Central Universities and Deemed Universities.

PG Medical counseling at medical colleges in the State, including medical colleges established by the Government of the State. University established by the Law of State, Trust, Society, Minority Colleges shall be administered by the Government of the State.
