St. John’s Medical College, an apex body of the Catholic Bishops Conference of India (CBCI) actively contributes to the healthcare sector. The college became notably active on 29 September 1968 officially under the proactive presence of Dr. Zakir Hussain, the President of India. The college maintained its symptomatic progress & went ahead to become the college being consistently ranked among the Top 10 Medical Colleges in India.

The college was earlier in clinical collaboration with St. Martha’s hospital until the St. John’s Hospital officially became operational in the SJMC campus. The college offers Undergraduate (MBBS), Postgraduate (MD / MS), Super-specialty (DM / MCH) & a variety of Diploma courses. The college adheres to strict guidelines while granting seats to the Medical Aspirants. The candidate willing to pursue MBBS at the college must pass NEET & successfully appear for the counseling session conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
