The year 1984-85 witnessed the establishment of JSS Medical College, Mysore. The college is instrumental at the impartment of magnificent medical education. The college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) & affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, is arnbright domicile for the medical aspirants. The college is currently functional as a constituent institute of JSS University. JSS officially became a university in the year 2008 under section-3 of UGC Act.
JSS Medical College offers Undergraduate Course – MBBS & MD / MS Programs. The college also offers Postgraduate Diploma programs. The approbatory annual intake into the MBBS program at the college is 200. The courses offered at the college are properly coalesced into the modernistic doctrines in an attempt to ensure latest developments & their availability for knowledge. The candidate willing to pursue MBBS at the college must pass NEET & successfully appear for the counseling session conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The NRI Candidates / Aspirants are mandated to secure a valid rank in NEET.
