MBBS Admission Process
Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Course
1. Nationality: The candidate must be either an Indian citizen or can be an NRI, OCI, PIO, and foreign nationals, to appear in the NEET UGtest.
2. Age Limit: The candidate must be a minimum of 17 years of age at the time of admission. The upper age limit clause has been waived off by the Supreme Court, and the candidature of candidates is subject to acceptance by NTA.
3. Qualification: The applicant must be 12th passed or must have passed any equivalent exam. The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and English and for OBC/SC/ST category, the aggregate score must be at least 40%.
4. The candidate can take as many attempts as he/she wishes to appear in NEET exam.
Entrance Exam
The admission to MBBS course is through National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, also known as NEET UG. The entrance is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NEET UG will be held on 5th May 2019, and it is a single level entrance exam.
