Undergraduate Medical Course

MS Ramaiah Medical College Bangalore offers Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) as its undergraduate medical course, which was started in the year 1979. The duration of MBBS Course is 5 ½ years including one year of compulsory internship.
 

Postgraduate Medical Courses

MS Ramaiah Medical College Bangalore offers postgraduate medical courses viz. Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS) and Postgraduate Diploma. The duration of MD course and MS course is 3 years; and PG Diploma course is 2 years. These PG medical courses enable students to learn theoretical and practical aspects of various medical specialities.
 

Super-Specialty Course

The super-specialty courses of 3 year duration offered at MS Ramaiah Medical College Bangalore are Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.).

UG Medical Courses: 
Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Course: 

1. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the Year of Admission.
2. The Candidate should have passed 12th standard with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with English as one of the subjects.

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Nationals, NRI and People of Indian Origin:

1. The college allots 15% seats (23 seats) of the total admissible seats every year to the students hailing from this category. 
2. The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the Year of Admission.
3. Candidate should have passed 12th standard or equivalent with 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as the main subjects.
4. The candidate should have passed English as one of the subjects. 
5. The candidates should furnish the appropriate documents to prove their NRI / Foreign status.
6. The candidate should posses the Inward Remittance Certificate from the Reserve Bank of India. 
7. The candidate should furnish the Eligibility Certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) to pursue medical education in Karnataka. 

PG Medical Courses:
Eligibility Criteria for PG Medical Courses:

1. It’s mandatory for the candidate to secure a ‘’Qualified’’ score in the PG Medical Entrance Test conducted by the National Board of Examination, New Delhi. 
2. The candidate should have completed MBBS Degree from any reputable institute / college recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and affiliated to any of the lawfully established Universities in India.
3. The candidate must have completed a compulsory ‘Rotational Internship’ on or before 31st March of the Year of Admission.

Note: The seat allotment, including the seats of NRI / Management Quota, depends upon the merit through Online Counseling conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
